Terms and Conditions of Business.
 

Our terms and conditions are listed below; any references to “BCS” shall be taken to mean BCS Consulting of Winston House, 2, Dollis Park, London. N3 1HF.
They outline the basis upon which BCS conduct their Professional Services on behalf of their Clients.

1.BCS will provide a quotation upon request for any structural project and provide an Estimate letter which should be signed by the Client, indicating agreement to the stated fees and prior to commencement of the work.

2.The fee for a Structural or a Structural Defect Report will be given at the time of instruction which is normally by phone; payment must be made in full before the report is released.

3.Fees for all other works commissioned are due for payment within 14 days of the issue of the completed works, or interim works. Any exceptions to this clause will have been individually negotiated with the client in question.

4.Specified fees, are inclusive of Value Added Tax, but do not include, however, and as such BCS will be entitled to, additional payment for (including expenses and disbursements) any additional work which arises out of or has a connection with the original agreed project, over and above payment of the original invoice :

a.changes in either the scope or timing of the works regardless of the reason for these changes
b.delays or unsatisfactory workmanship by any other individual person or contractor
c.contested claims

b.Notice will be given to the Client that an additional charge is being made. Payment for additional works will be calculated at an hourly rate, details of which will be provided upon request.

5.Requests by the Client to BCS regarding any aspect of the original project or subsequent changes shall be provided in writing, either in the form of a letter, fax or an e mail, a phone conversation alone will not be sufficient.

6. If the project is cancelled by the Client then BCS is entitled to claim recompense for the services provided up to the day that this notice is received in the office, on a week day during working hours i.e. 9.00 am to 5.30 pm.

7.Documents are posted by Royal Mail First Class post at the close of each and every working day. Upon request, and depending upon the size and nature of the document, it will be possible to fax or e mail, in addition to the office hard copy.

8.BCS normally retains copyright of all documents prepared by BCS. All work is prepared for the sole use of our named Client and as such should not be reproduced in part or wholly or relied upon by any third party without the prior consent of BCS.
